Micah 6:8 The LORD …..  he has told you what he wants from you: do what is right to other people, love being kind to others, and live humbly, obeying your God.

Hosea 6:6  I want faithful love more than I want animal sacrifices.  I want people to know me more than I want burnt offerings.  (KJ, NIV     For I desire mercy, not sacrifice….)

Remember:  2 times Jesus wore out the Pharisees with this statement     Mat 9:12,     Mat 12:7

Luke 6:36    Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

James 2:13  So you must show mercy to others, or God will not show mercy to you when he judges you

Gal 5:13   The whole law is made complete in this one command: “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.”              (Lev 19:18)


Heb 12:1-3     Think about Jesus’ example.              So do not get tired and stop trying

John 13:12-17 .. I did this as an example so that you should do as I have done for you.  ….a servant is not greater than his master            (Luke 6:40)

Paul writes:

Titus 1:1-2   …. I  was sent to help the faith of God’s chosen people and to help them know the truth that shows people how to serve God.

1 Tim 1:16 ..His patience with me made me an example for those who would believe in him…

1 Cor 1:10  I beg you….   be completely joined together by having the same kind of thinking…

1 Cor 11:1 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.   

1 Tim 4:12 … be an example to believers with your words, your actions, your love, your faith, and your pure life.

John 6:28-29  The people asked Jesus, “What are the things God wants us to do?” Jesus answered, “The work God wants you to do is this:  Believe in the One he sent.”
