Remember:                        In all things Jesus has First Place.

Eph 1:7 In Christ we are set free by the blood of his death,    so we have forgiveness of sins.”

Heb 9:12 “…His sacrifice was his own blood, and by it    he set us free from sin forever.”

Gal 5:1 “We have freedom now, because Christ made us free.      So stand strong.  …

2 Cor 3:17 “The Lord is the Spirit,  and where the Spirit of the Lord is,  there is freedom.

Col 1:9-10  Paul’s prayer: that you will know fully what God wants…. that you will have great wisdom and understanding in spiritual things…. that you will live the kind of life that honors and pleases the Lord in every way…. that you will produce fruit in every good work and grow in the knowledge of God.  11-12 (a promise) “God will strengthen you with his own great power so that you will not give up when troubles come,  but you will be patient.  … you will joyfully give thanks to the Father who has made us able to have a share in all that he has prepared for his people…  13 God has freed us from the power of darkness, and brought us into the kingdom of his dear Son.  14  The Son paid for our sins “with his blood” and in him we have forgiveness.

Eph 3:12 “In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.”

Hebrews 10:19 “.. we are completely free to enter the Most Holy Place without fear because of the blood of Jesus’ death.”

                             THE IMPORTANCE OF CHRIST

Colossians 1:15 – 23 15 No one can see God, but Jesus Christ is exactly like him.  He ranks higher than everything that has been made. 16  … All things were made through Christ and for Christ.  17 … all things continue because of him.  18 He is the head of the body, which is the church.  Everything comes from him. “So in all things Jesus has First Place. 19-20 God was pleased for all of himself to live in Christ. … through Christ,  God has brought all things back to himself … God made peace through the blood of Christ’s death on the cross. 21-22  At one time you were separated from God.  … But now God has made you his friends again.  He did this through Christ’s death in the body so that  he (Jesus) might bring you into God’s presence as people who are holy, with no wrong, and with nothing of which God can judge you guilty.  23  This will happen if you continue strong and sure in your faith.  You must not be moved away from the hope brought to you by the Good News….

1 John 4:9-10                “It is not our love for God;     it is God’s love for us.
