FREEDOM  IN  CHRIST

John 4:23-24   “…true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth…. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

Remember the 3 warnings

Heb 2:1 “We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard so that we do not drift away.      Luke 8:18             2 John 9

2 Cor 3:17    The Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Heb 8:1-2  Our high priest serves in the Most Holy Place,  the true place of worship…

Heb 9:12   Christ entered the Most Holy Place only once…. His sacrifice , set us free from sin …

Heb 7:19  The law of Moses could not make anything perfect.  But now a better hope has been given to us,  and with this hope we can come near to God.

Heb 6:19-20  We have this hope as an anchor for the soul…. It enters behind the curtain in the Most Holy Place  in heaven,  where Jesus has gone ahead of us and for us.

Eph 3:12    In Christ we can come before God with freedom and without fear.  We can do this through faith in Christ.   (Col 1:13-14)  (Titus 3:4-8)

Gal 3:23  We had no freedom until God showed us the way of faith that was coming.

Gal 4:8-11 … now you know the true God.  Really, it is God who knows you.  So why do you turn back to those weak and useless rules you followed before?

James 2:12-13 (niv) Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, (ncv) … the person who shows mercy can stand without fear at the judgment.

Gal 5:1    We have freedom now,  because Christ made us free.  So stand strong.  Do not change and go back into the slavery of the law.   (4-9)

Col 2:6-23   Continue to Live in Christ   Don’t follow People’s rules  As you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so continue to live in him.   6-9,  13-14,  16-19,  20-23

Gal 5:13-15  …God called you to be free, but do not use your freedom as an excuse to do what pleases (your flesh.)   The whole law is made complete in this one command:  Love your neighbor as you love yourself.

1 Cor 8:9-13  Be careful that your freedom does not cause those who are weak in faith to fall into sin.

1 Peter 2:16-17  Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as an excuse to do evil.
