The Church is filled with Christ, and Christ fills everything in every way

Remember:   Christ prayed for our unity,  that his people would love all men,  especially the church

1 Cor: 12:27 “ …You are the body of Christ,   and each one of you is a part of it.”

1 Cor: 12:12 there are many parts to a body, all the parts make one body.  Christ is like that…

Phil 2:5 “Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.”     6-8  “he humbled himself”

Eph 1:22-23 “God ..made Christ the head over everything for the church,  which is Christ’s body.

The Church is filled with Christ, and Christ fills everything in every way.”

Eph 4:16   The whole body depends on Christ and all the parts of the body are joined and held together  22-24 “…become a new person.   That new person is made to be like God…. 25 …we all belong to each other in the same body.

Remember in John 17:3 Jesus said that “this is eternal life”  You must know God and know Jesus.

1 John 2:1-6  “Anyone who says, “I know God,” but does not obey God’s commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person”     “Whoever says that he lives in God must live as Jesus lived.”

The key to living like Jesus and thinking like Jesus is  LOVE

Jesus’ main teaching:  “Love one another”,   Matt 22:37-40,       1 Pet 4:8

The key to living and thinking like Jesus is  HUMILITY

Jesus repeated this 4 times: Matt 18:4,  Matt 23:12, Lk 14:11, Lk 18:14

James 2:1-9 ….never think some people are more important than others.  9 if you treat one person as being more important than another,  you are sinning.”

Romans 2:1-4  “If you think you can judge others, you are wrong……

Romans 14:10-12 “why do you judge your brothers and sisters in Christ?  And why do you think you are better than they are?           1 Cor 4:3-7

James 3:2 “We all make many mistakes”   Matt 7:1-2     What if the biggest sin we are all guilty of is judging others? Col 2:16, 18                Gal 6:4, 15

Col 3:3-4 ..your new life is kept with Christ in God.   Christ is your life…… 5-6 So put all evil things out of your life:    These things make  God angry.  8-9 But now also put these things out of your life: 10 You have begun to live the new life, … This new life brings you the true knowledge of God. 11 …Christ is in all believers,    and Christ is all that is important.  12 God has chosen you… loves you…so you should clothe yourselves with….  14  Love is what holds you all together in perfect unity. 15  “….you were all called together in one body to have peace.  Always be thankful.” 16 Let the teaching of Christ live in you richly. 17 all you do give thanks to God the Father through Jesus.
