Be careful that no one fails to receive God’s grace and begins to cause trouble…

JESUS USED THIS STORY TO TEACH HIS FOLLOWERS THAT THEY SHOULD ALWAYS PRAY AND NEVER LOSE HOPE.

Luke 18:1-8   “I will see that she gets her rights.  Otherwise she will continue to bother me until I am worn out.”     8  when the Son of Man comes back, will he find faith on the earth?

Luke 11 :5-13 Suppose one of you went to your friend’s house at midnight for a loan…. your boldness will make him get up and give you whatever you need.    Ask,   Search,   Knock

1 John 5:14-15    And this is the boldness we have in God’s presence:  that if we ask God …..

Mat 6:8 …your Father knows what you need before you ask him.   (14-15)

Mat 7:7-   Ask and it will be given..

Mat 21:22  If you believe,  you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

Remember:

Romans 3:10  the Scriptures say: “There is no one who always does what is right, not even one.”

James 3:2     We all stumble in many ways.

Eph 2:8-9(nlt)  God saved you by his grace when you believed.   you can’t take credit for this;  it is a gift from God.     Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done…

1 Cor 4:7(ncv)What do you have that was not given to you?    And if it was given to you, why do you brag as if you did not receive it as a gift.

Luke 18:9-14  Jesus told this story to people who thought they were very good and looked down on everyone else:     “A Pharisee and a tax collector both went to the Temple to pray.”

“All who make themselves great will be made humble, but all who make themselves humble will be made great.”      (Luke 18:14,  Mat 23:12,  Luke 14:11,  Mat 18:4)  James 4:10*

James 2:1 …never think some people are more important than others.  8*-9 ..but if you treat one person as being more important than another,  you are sinning.

Phil 2:3-5  do not let selfishness or pride be your guide.   be humble and give more honor to others.  In your lives you must think and act like Christ Jesus.

Eph 4:26-32  “When you are angry…. be sure to stop being angry before the end of the day.”

2 Peter 1:5-11 add these things to your lives … anyone who does not have these things cannot see clearly.  He is blind and has forgotten that he was made clean from his past sins.

2 Cor 4:16-18  So we don’t give up….. our spirit inside us is made new every day. …. We set our eyes .. on what we cannot see. .. what we cannot see will last forever.
