Hebrews 12:2-3   …  look only to Jesus, the One who began our faith and who makes it perfect.

Acts 4:12  Jesus is the only One who can save people.  No one else in the world is able to save us.

Remember how Peter began his first letter?    1 Peter 1:1-5

2 God planned to choose you by making you his holy people, which is the Spirit’s work.

3 In God’s great mercy he has caused us to be born again into a living hope, because Jesus Christ rose from the dead.

4 we hope for the blessings God has for his children.  …kept in heaven for you.

5 God’s power protects you through your faith until salvation is shown to you at the end of time.

1 Peter 1:6-9  purity of faith is worth more than gold… the purity of faith will bring you praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is shown to you.  .. you are filled with a joy that cannot be Explained….  And you are receiving the goal of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

2 Peter 3:3-16 The Lord is not slow in doing what he promised… But the day of the Lord will come like a thief.  So what kind of people should you be?  But God made a promise to us, and we are waiting…..   Try to be at peace with God.

2 Peter 3:17-18  Do not let evil people lead you away from your strong faith. .. grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Heb 3:12-14 … be careful that none of you has an evil, unbelieving heart that will turn you away from the living God.  We all share in Christ if we keep till the end the sure faith we had in the beginning.

1 Cor 1:30  Because of God you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God.  In Christ we are put right with God, and have been made holy, and have been set free from sin.

2 Cor 1:20-22  The Yes to all God’s promises is in Christ….  God is the One who  makes you strong in Christ.  He put his mark on us to show that we are his,  and he put his Spirit in our hearts to be a guarantee for all he has promised.

Heb 7:24-25(niv)   because Jesus lives forever,  ...he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them

Heb 8:1-2  The point of what we are saying is this:  Our high priest serves in the Most Holy Place, the true place of worship…

Gal 4:4-7  But when the right time came, God sent his Son….. God did this so he could buy freedom   Since you are God’s children, God sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts… now you are not a slave; you are God’s child…. God will give you the blessing he promised

1 John 3:1 The Father has loved us so much that we are called children of God!  And that is what we are!
