LEARN WHAT PLEASES GOD

Romans 8:13-16    The true children of God are those who let God’s Spirit lead them.  And the Spirit himself joins with our spirits to say we are God’s children.

2 Cor 1:20-22  Remember,  God is the One who makes you and us strong in Christ He put his mark on us to show that we are his...put his Spirit in our hearts to be a guarantee for all he has promised.

Eph 4:30-   And do not make the Holy Spirit sad.  The Spirit is God’s proof that you belong to him.

James 4: 4-8, 10   “The Spirit that God made to live in us wants us for himself alone.”  

Romans 12:2-3   Do not be shaped by this world…  Do not think you are better than you are.

1 Cor 4:8  Who says you are better than others?  What do you have that wasn’t given to you?

2 Cor 10:18  It is not those who say they are good who are accepted but those the Lord thinks are good.

Romans 14:17-19 The important things are living right with God, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Eph 5:10-18  Try to learn what pleases the Lord.  So be careful how you live.  …So don’t be foolish   but learn what the Lord wants you to do.

Scriptures say these things pleases the Lord.

1 Tim 2:1-4    Pray for all people …  Pray for rulers and for all who have authority…This is good, and it pleases God our Savior.

Col 3:19-20     “Husbands, love your wives and be gentle with them.” “Children, obey your parents in all things”,  because this pleases the Lord.

Col 3:23-24   work as if you were doing it for the Lord     Remember that you will receive your reward from the Lord,  which he promised to his people.

1 Tim 5:4  if a widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to do their duty to their own family and to repay their parents or grandparents.    That pleases God.

     1 Tim 5:8 (niv) If anyone does not provide for his relatives,  especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Heb 12:28  So let us be thankful…    We should worship God in a way that pleases him…
