To me the only important thing about living is Christ… Phil 1:21
Rom 1:28“People did not think it was important to have a true knowledge of God. So God left them and allowed them to have their own worthless thinking and do things they should not do.
1 Cor 3:23 And you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.”
James 4:1-5 “Do you think the Scripture means nothing that says, “The Spirit that God made live in us wants us for himself alone”?
Remember:
The Importance of Christ
Heb 1:1-3 This is how the Hebrews letter begins. It is about JESUS.
Col 1:15-23 “He is the first one who was raised from the dead. So in all things Jesus has first place.”
Heb 2:1 “So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.”
1 Cor 4:6 “…so you could learn … the meaning of the saying, “Follow only what is written in the Scriptures.”
Romans 15:4 “Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us. The Scriptures give us patience and encouragement so that we can have hope.”
2 Cor 1:13 “We write to you only what you can read and understand.” People do not need “expert help” to understand what the Scriptures reveal.
Luke 8:18 “So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given…..
Luke 13:24 Try hard toenter through the narrow door, because many people will try to enter there, but they will not be able. (23-27)
2 John 9b “…. whoever continues to follow the teaching of Christ has both the Father and the Son.”
First part of verse “Anyone who goes beyond Christ’s teachings and does not continue to follow only his teaching does not have God.”
Remember what Jude wrote: “I wanted to write about the salvation we all share. But I felt the need to write you about something else; I want to encourage you to fight hard for the faith that was given the holy people of God once and for all time.”
