FREEDOM IN CHRIST – COMES WITH-  THINKING LIKE CHRIST

2 Tim 1:7 God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid but a spirit of power and love and self-control.

2 Cor 3:17-18  The Lord is the Spirit…. there is freedom.  .. we are being changed to be like him.

1 Cor 4:3  I do not care if I am judged by you or by any human court.  I do not even judge myself. 4  The Lord is the One who judges me.

1 Cor 6:12  “I am allowed to do all things,”  but not all things are good for me to do.  I will not let anything make me its slave.

Romans 6:22  But now you are free from sin and have become slaves of God.  This brings you a life that is only for God,  and this gives you life forever.

1 Cor 10:23-24   We are allowed to do all things, but not all things are good for us to do. …..

Romans 14

1-8 … do not argue about opinions.  You cannot judge another person’s servant.

5-6  Let all be sure in their own mind.                                                   (Mat 15:17-20)

10-12  So why do you judge your brothers and sisters in Christ?           (James 2:1-4,  8-9)

13-15  … we should stop judging each other. .. I know there is no food that is wrong to eat… Do not destroy someone’s faith by eating food he thinks is wrong…

16        Do not allow what you think is good to become what others say is evil.

17-19   The important things are living right with God..  let us try to do what makes peace

22     Your beliefs about these things should be kept secret between you and God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves.

23      Anything that is done without believing it is right is a sin.

Romans 8:6  If people’s thinking is controlled by the sinful self,  there is death.    But if their thinking is controlled by the Spirit,    there is life and peace.

Col 3:15-16  Let the peace that Christ gives control your thinking….. Always be thankful.  Let the teaching of Christ live in you richly…

1 Peter 4:1  …strengthen yourselves with the same way of thinking Christ had…...

Ecc 7:4   A wise person thinks about death, but a fool thinks only about having a good time.
