CHRIST HIMSELF IS OUR PEACE
Isa 43:23-25 God said : you have weighed me down with your many sins; you have made me tired of your many wrongs. I, I am the One who erases all your sins, for my own sake; I will not remember your sins.
Heb 1:1-3 Remember how the Hebrews letter begins. IT’S ABOUT JESUS!!
Heb. 2:1 So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.
John 1:17 The law was given through Moses, but GRACE and TRUTH came through Jesus Christ.
Heb 7:19 The law of Moses could not make anything perfect. But now a better hope has been given to us, and with this hope we can come near to God.
Deut 18:14 Moses said: The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, You must listen to him.
Peter repeated this in Acts 3:22-23 …. you must listen to everything he tells you.
Stephen in his speech to the Sanhedrin reminded them of this also in Acts 7:37
Heb 6:18 GOD CANNOT LIE when he makes a promise, and HE CANNOT LIE when he makes an oath. ( 2 Tim 3:16, Romans 15:4 )
Col 1:15 Jesus Christ is exactly like God. 19 God was pleased for all of himself to live in Christ.
1 Peter 1:3 In God’s great mercy he has caused us to be born again into a living hope
2 Cor 5:17-19 If anyone belongs to Christ, there is a new creation…. everything is made new!…All of this is from God. … God was in Christ, making peace between the world and himself. In Christ, God did not hold the world guilty of its sins. 21 Christ had no sin, but God made him become sin so that in Christ we could become right with God.
In John chapter 3 Jesus talks about “being born again” (1-16 )
17 God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world guilty…
18 People who believe in God’s Son are not judged guilty.
Eph 2:13- 22 Christ himself is our peace. 15 Jewish law had many commands and rules, but Christ ended that law. 17 Christ came and preached peace …18 it is through Christ we all have the right to come to the Father in one Spirit.
Eph 4:21-24 you were taught the truth that is in Jesus….You were taught to leave your old self…But you were taught to be made new in your hearts, to become a new person. That new person is made to be like God…
2 Cor 6:1 Do not let the grace that you received from God be for nothing.
