Remember:   Christ prayed for our unity.    Unity among believers.

John 17: 11    “….so that they may be one as we are one, just as you and I are one.”

John 17:20-26  “ I pray …  that all of them may be one.  I pray that they can also be one in us.

John 17:14&16  Jesus:  “…they don’t belong to the world,   just as I don’t belong to the world.”

And if we don’t belong to this world,   then where do we belong?

Phil 3:20 (niv) our citizenship is in heaven.  (ncv) “our homeland is in heaven”

Phil 2:5 “Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.”     6-8  “he humbled himself” (ncv) “In your lives you must think and act like Christ Jesus”

Eph 4:21-24 “…so you were taught the truth that is in Jesus.” 22 “You were taught to leave your old  self…  23 “You were taught to be made new in your hearts, 24  to become a new person.  That new person is made to be like God     (remember Paul’s attitude  Gal 2:20)        Eph 1:23

Col 3:3-4 ..your new life is kept with Christ in God.   Christ is your life……

Remember in John 17:3 Jesus said that “this is eternal life”  You must know God and know Jesus.

1 John 2:1-6  “Anyone who says, “I know God,” but does not obey God’s commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person”     “Whoever says that he lives in God must live as Jesus lived.”

John 8:47 Jesus said to “the righteous of the day”     “The person who belongs to God accepts what God says.     But you don’t accept what God says,   because you don’t belong to God.”

THE KEY TO THINKING AND ACTING LIKE JESUS:    LOVE    and    HUMILITY   Mark 12:29-31, Matt 22:40,    1 Pet 4:8                Lk 14:11,   Romans 12:3,   1 Peter 5:5-12

Luke 6:40-41 “…the student who has been fully trained will be like the teacher.  Why do you notice the little piece of dust in your friend’s eye,  but not the plank in your own eye?

James 3:2 “We all make many mistakes”  (kjv)    One way or another we can offend everyone

James 2:1-9 ….never think some people are more important than others.

Romans 2:1-4  “If you think you can judge others, you are wrong……             (1 Cor 4:3-7)

Matt 7:1-2 (niv) “Do not judge, or you will be judged. …with the measure you use,  it will be measured to you.      Luke 6:37

Romans 14:10-12 “why do you judge your brothers and sisters in Christ?

And why do you think you are better than they are?   (Gal 6:4, 15)
