REMEMBERING   PETER

Mat 14:29 (22-33)  Peter  walked on the water  and came toward Jesus.

Mat 16:13-20   “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”

John 6:68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, who would we go to?  You have the words that give eternal life.  We believe and know that you are the Holy One from God.”

John 13:37-38 “…I will lay down my  life for you.”                (Luke 22:31-32)

Acts 5:14-16 “ … people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by”

LET’S READ:   FIRST  PETER

Chapter one:

1-2   To God’s chosen people…   God planned a long time ago to choose you by making you his holy people,  which is the Spirit’s work.  God wanted you to obey him and to be made clean by the blood of the death of Jesus Christ.  Grace and peace be yours…..3-4  In God’s great mercy he has caused us to be born again into a living hope….

5-7 God’s power protects you through your faith..   troubles come to prove that your faith is pure….

                                      James 1:2-4                   2 Tim 2:10

8-9 You are filled with joy that cannot be explained,  a joy full of glory…. receiving the goal of your faith– the salvation of your souls.

10-12   The prophets searched carefully and tried to learn about this salvation.   – things into which angels desired to look.”
